Like from a book, the story of an old monumental hotel located on a station square of a big city, hotel Frascati. Surrounded by high volatile new construction. Damaged during the (new) construction, not handled carefully, deliberately? Replaced by a new building, with a different color of bricks, a final reference.
In 2015 we teasingly named the new concept student housing Frascati, as a tribute to the long-term housing of travelers and visitors to our city. Which, by the way, turned out to be more durable than the glossy office residents.
New travellers, foreign RUG students, were housed in the more than 230 non-independent residential units from 2015. We were able to facilitate living, sports, meeting and even taking exams for the RUG and the SSH in this 11,000 m2 building. In 2021, the complex was taken over and we travelled further.
