Europalaan 1, 22-22 and 28-42

Located in the centre of Stadskanaal on a traditional shopping street, these 3 shopping and residential complexes are situated. The buildings were built around 1980 and consist of fifteen retail units on the ground floor with apartments above divided over 2 floors. All retail spaces are rented to, among others, Leads, Big Bazar, D-Reizen, Sport 2000, My Table and to the local butcher, hairdresser, beauty salon, nut bar, grocery store and clothing store. These spaces vary in size from 57 m² to 425 m².

The Europalaan and its immediate surroundings have been given a facelift in recent years in the form of widening the street and new paving. This was experienced as a very successful improvement and in mid-2022 it was continued in the further approach to the passage/underpass that is located in the shopping strip. There are also various new constructionsprojecten in the area, so work is being done on several levels to modernize this part of the center.
